Recovery Programs for Young Adults
A free treatment community (Group homes for the young adults on a journey toward healing and recovery)
“Therapeutic Community for the young people” (TC )
Purpose
- Due to the rapid growth of technological civilization, families are being destroyed, and countless young people are wounded by a lack of love amid the flood of individualism and material culture.
- We aim to guide them from ‘darkness to light, from death to resurrection’ through the grace of Jesus, who is ‘the Way, the Truth, and the Life.’
- We will implement a three-year healing process for the youth to live out the ‘Spirituality of the Kkottongnae’, where it is said, ‘I only love you, whether you’re sinful or not.’
Specific Methods
- We approach through ‘work, friendship, and prayer’ rather than medication or psychological counseling (experts are not needed).
- We encourage young individuals to discover who they are and face their difficulties.We help them find God who loves them.The youth learn to adopt a simple lifestyle in their basic needs and rediscover the gifts of faith in work, friendship, and God’s word.“
- Example: Two representative volunteers take responsibility for the remaining eight young adults, dividing them into groups of three, assigning roles to each.
- (For example: 3 for the kitchen, 2 for liturgy, prayer, and praise, 3 for daily life (reflection journal) presentation. Daily tasks, excluding those in the kitchen, are assigned based on the timing and needs of the community.
