Provide One Meal Per Day For Street Children.
We provide one meal a day to approximately 80 street children in Mbarara Town, Uganda.
Typically, these children beg, sell trash, or scavenge through garbage cans to find their meals.
All these children have been addicted to drugs and medication since they were young.
Every Wednesday, we visit the children, distribute lunch boxes, and every other week, we provide 100kg of rice and 30kg of lentils as a two-week supply of food. This quantity allows them to have one meal a day.
During Christmas and Easter, we slaughter goats to make meat soup for the children and celebrate Mass together.
After introducing the work that Kkottongnae does to the children, some of them voluntarily became members. Currently, every Wednesday, we collect membership fees from the children, ranging from 100 shillings, 200 shillings, to 500 shillings. With the money collected, we buy eggs and food, and then we seek out and share them with patients who have no one to care for them during visits to hospitals on Easter and Christmas.
